Tineco Floor One S3 Features and Specifications
Tineco Floor One S3 doubles as a hard floor wet/dry vacuum and as a hard floor washer, with the important note that the clean water/cleaning liquid is not sprayed over the area in front of the unit, but it is used for keeping the brushroll wet, improving the cleaning effect (when compared with the cleaning effect of the dry brushroll) and at the same time, keeping the moisture level low and allowing the floors to dry almost immediately.
Tineco Floor One S3 is a cordless unit, featuring a built-in 4000 mAh, 21.6 volts, 6-cells lithium-ion battery which is able to store ~86 Wh of energy.
Although the unit is rated at 220 watts, thanks to the smart sensor technology based on Tineco's iLoop sensor and automatic suction strength and water flow adjustments, runtime on the single battery charge is up to 35 minutes in Auto cleaning mode and up to 25 minutes in MAX cleaning mode.
Tineco Floor One S3 features a motorized brushroll optimized for sealed hard floors, including sealed hardwood, sealed laminate, glazed tiles, and similar floors, that is kept wet using the cleaning liquid from the Clean Water Tank (CWT - upper tank). As the wet brushroll spins, it gently scrubs the floor surface, removes stubborn and sticky dirt and messes, and picks up other dirt, which is all then vacuumed into the unit via strong suction and stored in the Dirty Water Tank (DWT - lower tank), leaving the floors clean and just slightly moist.
The capacity of the CWT is 0.6 liters and the capacity of DWT is 0.5 liters.
Note: Brushroll features tangled/blocked alarm, CWT features tank empty alarm, and DWT features tank full or blocked alarm. Although Tineco Floor One S3 is very simple to use and maintain, it is highly recommended to read the manual when the unit comes and get accustomed to the new unit.
Controls are surprisingly simple - unit features On/Off button, Cleaning Mode button, and Self-Clean button:
- On/Off button is used for turning the unit On and Off. When the unit starts, it automatically starts in AUTO clean mode.
- Cleaning Mode button allows the user to switch from AUTO cleaning mode to MAX cleaning mode, which is used for cleaning extra dirty areas and messes, including dried and sticky spills, pet messes and similar.
- Self-Clean button allows the user to initiate automatic self-cleaning of the brushroll, while the unit is placed in the docking/charging station.
Tineco Floor One S3 is not the smallest and not the lightest hard floor cleaner on the market - its physical dimensions are 11.3 x 10 x 43.3 inches (~28.7 x 25.4 x 110 cm) and it weighs 9.9 pounds (~4.5 kg).
For this and other reasons, Tineco Floor One S3 features a pair of wheels that carry most of the weight, while the spinning brushroll gently pulls the unit forward, allowing the user to easily clean a large area rather quickly.
Tineco Floor One S3 is kept stored in its custom 3-in-1 docking station which is used for:
- Storage of the unit and its accessories,
- Charging of the battery - fully discharged battery takes ~4h to recharge completely,
- Self-cleaning - place the unit on the docking station with empty DWT and with at least 40% full CWT and initiate the Self-cleaning process, and let the unit do the rest. After the self-cleaning is done, empty the DWT and replace the wet brushroll with the dry one.
Note: Again, for exact maintenance procedures, check the manual - Tineco Floor One S3 is rather self-intuitive to use cleaner, but better safe than sorry...
All required data and statuses about the unit are displayed on the LCD digital display, including Self-cleaning mode on/off, Wifi status, Brushroll status, DWT alarm status, CWT alarm status, Dirt monitoring loop (amount of dirt being cleaned), AUTO Mode On/Off status, Power indicator, Battery charge status.

Both voice prompts and smartphone app help the user to keep the unit in the best possible working condition.
Tineco Floor One S3 Air Filtration System
Tineco Floor One S3 air filtration system is based on the washable HEPA air filter, which is able to capture up to 99.99% of particles, down to 0.3 microns - note: it is not claimed that the HEPA air filter is capable of capturing 99.99% of ALL 0.3 microns or larger particles.
Nonetheless, air filtration is excellent and the unit expels practically only the clean air.
Tineco Floor One S3 comes with two brushrolls and two HEPA air filters - this allows the user to have the unit ready while both the cleaned brushroll and the cleaned HEPA air filter are being air-dried.
Note: never assemble the wet/moist air filter back into the unit, it may cause the unit to malfunction and can even damage the unit, rendering its 2-year limited warranty void.
What's in the Box?
