Miele Compact C2 Electro+ Features and Specifications
Although rather compact, Miele Compact C2 Electro+ is powerful vacuum, powered via high-efficiency Miele's Vortex motor creating very strong suction - unit is rated at 1200W (10 Amps).
Physical dimensions of the vacuum are (L x H) ~16.8 x 9.1 inches (425x230 mm) and it weighs 9.39 pounds (~4.25 kg) and it is easily carried by the handle (canister) in one hand and the cleaning wand in another hand.
Miele Compact C2 Electro+ is designed to be rather quiet during operation, even when the suction is at the maximum. However, unit comes with suction selector on the canister, with 6 positions, including: curtains and fabrics, upholstery and cushions, deep pile carpets and rugs, energy saving (quiet) mode, low pile carpets and rugs, hard flooring and heavily soiled carpets and rugs.
Other controls on the canister include power on/off foot button and the power cord rewind system foot button.
Miele Compact C2 Electro+ comes with electrified flexible cleaning hose and telescopic wand, enabling the use of the electric cleaner floorhead.
Unlike some 'Miele Complete' models, Miele Compact C2 Electro+ doesn't carry additional cleaning tools within the canister itself, but it uses VarioClip attached to the hose - more on that later.
Miele Compact C2 Electro+ comes with park system for vacuuming breaks, but without automatic switch off. Also, it features space-saving storage system, allowing the wand and floor heads to be stored at the both sides of the canister.
Caster wheels are gentle on floors and allow the unit to be very maneuverable.
Note: Miele Compact C2 Electro+ is relatively simple to use and maintain vacuum cleaner, but when it arrives, be sure to read the manual thoroughly.
Miele Compact C2 Electro+ FJM Dust Bags
Miele Compact C2 Electro+ uses Miele Type FJM AirClean 3D Efficiency Dust Bags.
Miele Type FJM AirClean 3D dust bags are disposable dust bags, featuring:
- dust capacity of 3.5 liters,
- red auto-seal, self-locking collar, helping the users to replace the bags with no dust coming out of the bag,
- 99.9% dust retention, hence the 'AirClean' - these dust bags are very important for proper air filtration, so using the OEM bags is highly recommended.
- '3D' ensures that the entire volume of the dust bag is used for dirt storage, ensuring no loss of suction.
Miele Compact C2 Electro+ comes with dust bag auto-positioning system, helping the users avoid mistakes when replacing the bags. Also, unit feature 'bag change indicator', signaling the user when it is time to replace the dust bag.
Miele Compact C2 Electro+ dust bags can be purchased in the packages that include both dust bags and air filters.

Miele Active AirClean 50 Filter also comes with time strip that should be activated when the air filter is replaced.
Miele Compact C2 Electro+ Cleaning Tools and Attachments
Main cleaning tasks performed by Miele Compact C2 Electro+ are done using Miele Electro Plus Floorhead SEB 228 and Small Parquet Floorhead SBB Parquet-3.
Miele Electro Plus Floorhead SEB 228 features electrically driven brush, suitable for cleaning both bare floors and carpeted areas.
SEB 228 features manually adjustable height, allowing the user to set the height according to the cleaned surface.
When cleaning the carpets, ss the brush spins, it pulls out deeply embedded dirt, pet and human hair, lint, and other stubborn dirt from within the carpet's fibers.
SEB 228 also features swivel neck to enable the user to set this floorhead at optimal angle and to provide maximum maneuverability and reach around and under floor objects and obstacles.
When vacuuming bare floors, especially sensitive bare floors, user can either turn off the rotating brush using control switch on the handle, or clean the floors with Small Parquet Floorhead SBB Parquet-3.
SEB 228 is not maintenance free cleaning tool - it is up to the user to remove the tangled hair and fibers from the rotating brushroll.
Also, SEB 228 doesn't feature LED lights, which may be rather useful when vacuuming in low light conditions, for example, under the beds and similar.
Note: both the main suction motor and the SEB 228 feature thermal protection - if the internal temperatures start to rise, thermal protection turns off either main suction motor or motor found at SEB 228 in order to prevent any damages. If that happens, turn off the unit, unplug it from the wall, check for blockages and clogs and let the unit cool down at least 30 minutes - for this and other maintenance procedures, check the manual!
Small Parquet Floorhead SBB Parquet-3 features row of fine, gentle bristles that agitate the dirt as they glide over vacuumed surface.
Small Parquet Floorhead SBB Parquet-3 is designed for vacuuming both small and large debris, without scattering them around.
Also, Small Parquet Floorhead SBB Parquet-3 doesn't feature moving parts and is almost maintenance free - just remove tangled hair and lint from the bristles periodically.
Additional cleaning tools are stored on the VarioClip and they include Crevice Tool, Dusting Brush and Upholstery Tool.
Crevice Tool is designed for cleaning narrow and tight areas including crevices (hence the name), edges, gaps, corners and similar.
Dusting Brush feature natural bristles and is intended for dusting of tabletops, keyboards, bookshelves and similar surfaces.
Upholstery Tool is used for vacuuming upholstery, furniture, drapes etc.
When using both floorheads and additional cleaning tools, it is vital to adjust the suction at proper level - for example, if you are vacuuming drapes and similar surfaces, suction level should be set to minimum.
