Dirt Devil BD30025B Quick Flip Plus Features and Specifications
Dirt Devil BD30025B is powered using onboard 16 volts lithium battery, being able to provide 13 minutes of operation - unit doesn't have suction control, just simple on/off switch.
Suction is good, but it could be better - nonetheless, Dirt Devil BD30025B easily picks up most common dirt found at homes and apartments, dry pet food included.
When the battery is discharged, it takes around 6 hours to charge it fully again.
Note: When the unit arrives, for safety reasons its lithium battery is only semi-charged, so, read the manual thoroughly first and then charge the vacuum until it is fully charged - when the battery is fully charged, the charge indicator light will stop blinking.
Dirt Devil BD30025B doesn't feature a charging station - it is up to the user to connect the charger with the unit for charging and to disconnect the charger after charging.
Dirt Devil BD30025B has a very ergonomic design and is easily used even by the elderly or even kids (kids under the supervision of adults, of course).
It weighs only 2.2 pounds (~1 kg) and it features rather compact design with physical dimensions (L x W x H) of 4.00 x 6.00 x 14.50 inches (~10 x 15 x 37 cm).
Most cleaning tasks are done using the unit's main suction nozzle, but Dirt Devil BD30025B also features a turbo cleaning tool and crevice tool.
Powered Stair and Upholstery Tool (powered turbo tool) features a small rotating brushroll that easily picks up pet and human hair, lint, fibers, and other similar dirt that is often rather hard to vacuum using just suction. This is not a maintenance-free tool - it is up to the user to remove tangled hair and lint from the brushroll and to periodically check if there are clogs or blockages inside the tool. Such a cleaning tool is rarely seen in the vacuums in this price range.
A crevice tool is carried onboard and can be extended within seconds, as needed. It is designed to clean narrow areas and gaps, edges, and corners, extending the cleaning reach of the unit.
The dirt cup is translucent, allowing the user to see vacuumed dirt. The capacity of the dirt cup is 0.5 liters, which is very good for a unit of this size.
Air filtration is based on the plastic air filter housing that filters out larger debris and protects the air filter.
The main air filter is the Dirt Devil F101 air filter and it is washable using plain water. Since Dirt Devil BD30025B is designed for dry dirt only, after washing, its filter must be fully dried before reassembling it back into the unit - never operate the unit without the air filter or with moist or wet filter. Such operation can damage the unit and void the warranty.
Dirt Devil BD30025B comes with a 2-year limited warranty.
For short: What can be improved in Dirt Devil's BD30025B design? Probably everything, but this would also lead to larger and heavier units that would cost more and be more mechanically complex and less reliable.
So, if you are looking for a compact and affordable cordless handheld unit with minimum operating costs, consider this unit. Just be sure to regularly clean/wash its air filter.
